February 8, 2015: In this month's "Savings Account Rate Survey" we have three banks paying 1.00% APY with another paying 0.99%. GE Capital, Synchrony & Barclays banks now all pay 1.00%.
Changes: GE Capital Bank, our Survey Leader in our in December 2014 survey, dropped its rate from 1.05% to 1.00% APY. Since our last survey, American Express Bank increased its rate 0.05% to 0.90%.
